If your home needs more insulation, the New Mexico Gas Company Energy Efficiency Rebate Program may help offset the cost of qualifying improvements.

For the 2026–2027 program, eligible New Mexico Gas Company customers can receive 40% up to $1000 rebate on qualifying insulation upgrades, with maximum rebate amounts based on the type of insulation project and the amount of insulation currently in the home.

2026–2027 Attic Insulation Rebates

The amount you may qualify for depends on the existing R-value of your attic insulation and the R-value achieved after the upgrade.

  • Existing attic insulation of R-11 or less: Bring your attic insulation up to R-30 or higher and receive a 40% rebate, up to $800.

  • Existing attic insulation of R-12 to R-19: Bring your attic insulation up to R-38 or higher and receive a 40% rebate, up to $500.

Rebates apply to qualifying improvements to existing homes. New construction, additions and garages to existing homes do not qualify.

How to Participate

Homes with zero existing crawl space insulation may qualify for a 40% rebate, up to $200, when crawl space insulation is upgraded to R-19.
